How Responsible would Afridi Prove In Responding To The Allotted Responsibility?
Was PCB right in maintaining Afridi as captain?
with 3 former captains banned he was the best option but well see how he handles it. Having said that it also depends on the strength of the side and if you saw Pakistan team play Pakistan A today you will agree with me, i don’t think we will do well at T20 Wcup. watching Abdul rehman and Muhammad Sami bowl today i wonder why they were not selected in the squad in place of Yasir Arfat, hammad Azam. Our toporder also looked ordinary although Butt and Latif scored some runs but not at a run-rate which is required for twenty 20 cricket, in t20 cricket you need fearless batsman, people who care so much about their wkt are not gonna cut you need some good hitters to take advantage of the first 6 overs.
Fawad Alam looked a miss-fit at number 4, both Fawad and Umar akmal again proved that they are weak against spin bowling, and have a lot of learning to do. In this squad we only have 2 big hitters Razzaq and Afridi, Afridi is more of a slogger Razzaq has a weakness against spin bowlers and he also bats too low he should be promoted in t20 cricket, in our current squad Misbah is probably our 3rd best hitter he should bat higher not and at 6 or 7. on the whole our batting lineup is average. Afridi will rely on his bowlers a lot more lets see how he handles this team.
