Flexible Rgb
i have the ikea lighting strip that i got for $50 dollars but i want to add more LED’s?
on amazon.com there is flexible RGB led light strip roles you can buy and can i use this light strip with the ikea one? im hoping to have the outline of my basement with led’s
You can mix any light strips if they are the same voltage. Most LED light strips are 12V DC, so there should be no problem connecting any brand of LED lights that are the same voltage.
The only concern you will have is whether or not you exceed the “current” draw from the LED strips. The current is how much power the LED strips use when “on”: Each LED will have a current rating. Add up the current rating for each strip and the total will be the current draw for all the LED lights. If the total current draw does not exceed 80% of the rating of the power supply, you are golden.
