How can I remove my oil pressure switch from my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?
It is broken, and I bought a new oil pressure switch, how can I remove the broken one?

In answering your question all you have to do is buy an oil pressure socket removal tool and look carefully for a slit or cutout when buying this tool.
With the engine cold carefully put the tool over the oil pressure switch and loosen it up all the way until you can remove it.
Now you put the new switch in the same way as the old one but to make a good seal try a piece of teflon pipe thread tape and wrap it around the bottom threads in the switch and then carefully with the oil pressure socket put it in,do it slowly and try not to cross thread it in the engine or you will have a disaster on your hands tighten up snugly then start the engine and check for any oil leaks at the switch while the engine is running at the opening temperature.that is it you are done and what a relief to get the help on anything from expert mechanics either pro or backyardmechanics who have years of knowledge.
